Rob Drower

Rob started work in the computer industry in 1967 when small processors took up entire floors of buildings. After 8 years, he decided there was not a lot of future in the computer industry and transferred to general management.

A variety of management roles culminated in an appointment as Group Manager for ASB Bank Retail Banking and then a position as General Manager for one of New Zealand’s premier law firms.

In 1989, he chose to leave the corporate world and focus on property investment mainly in the hospitality industry. The circle turned a full turn in 2002 when after meeting up with Dwayne Smith he found himself back in the computer industry joining the Horizon team as General Manager and shareholder.

He has been married to wife Denise, for 28 years, and has two adult children. Outside of work and family, Rob's passion is golf, where he plays to a 4 handicap at North Shore Golf Club.
